Event Support Opportunities

 

The University of Michigan is seeking proposals to support events during the 2010 Welcome to Michigan Program. Welcome to Michigan is a campus-wide series of events designed to welcome new students to the University and includes the participation of returning students, faculty and staff. Welcome to Michigan 2010 is September 2-6! This year's theme is "Widen Your Worldview."

We are seeking in-kind and financial support for some of the large "anchor events" that occur during the first week students return to campus. Support opportunities include:



Day of CHANGE
Monday, September 6, 2010

Day of CHANGEThere are two opportunities to support his event:

    1. Provide financial support towards University Catering luncheon for students ($3500, we must use University Catering in this venue).


    2. In-kind donation of screen-printed t-shirts for program participants (1500-2000). In addition to the general Conditions of Support below, we will also provide a 4" × 2" space on the shirt to acknowledge your support.

Sunday, September 12, 2010, 4-6 p.m.

Provide in-kind donations of non-alcoholic beverages for participants (750).


Other Opportunities

These are the only opportunities for non-University affiliated businessness and organizations to support the Welcome to Michigan program. Other smaller welcome events are planned independently by various University departments and student organizations.




Conditions of Support

  • We will prominently display a sign acknowledging your donation at the event.
  • We can also make materials (coupons, flyers, imprinted giveaways, etc.) available at the event on your behalf. We must approve all marketing material prior to production and distribution.
  • While this is a great opportunity to promote your business, organization, or service to new University of Michigan students, keep in mind that advertising and publicity is only permitted in accordance to the terms listed above and in the Support Agreement.

All proposals must be received by Friday, July 2.
