Welcome to Michigan Program Highlights
The Welcome to Michigan Program consists of over 200 events that offer something for everyone. The "Anchor Events" listed below are planned to include the entire freshman class, all first-year students are strongly encouraged to attend. All other events are sponsored by student groups, University departments, or community agencies. For a complete list of all events and descriptions, see UM*Events.

This request needs to be made two weeks prior to the event in order to make arrangements. All events are held in accessible facilities. If your parents are joining you to attend New Student Convocation, it can be very difficult to find a place to eat with all of the move-in traffic. Open to students and parents from either the 4:30pm Ceremony or 7pm Ceremony, we’ve planned this dinner just for you! Hill Auditorium is right next door to the Michigan League, within easy walking distance to and from the ceremony.
Michigan Seasonal Salad:
Corn Shoots & Cherry Bomb Radishes with Mixed Greens served with your choice of Root Beer Vinaigrette or Apple-Cherry Vinaigrette
Grilled Michigan Cherry Chicken:
On a bed of Roasted Apples, Peaches, Cherries, and Apricot Dressing served with Butter Ball Maize Mashed Potatoes and Seasonal Local Vegetables

• Northwood Houses
• East Quad
Due to space considerations, students and their families must attend the ceremony to which the student is assigned.
