Orientation for Transfer Students Admitted to Fall Term
Congratulations on choosing to transfer to the University of Michigan. All new transfer students (including those from U-M - Dearborn and U-M - Flint) admitted for Fall Term must attend an orientation program to aid in your transition to U-M. We offer several 1-day Transfer Orientation programs in May, July, and mid-August. Available orientation dates are determined by your school or college. Not all orientation dates are available to students in all schools and colleges. Students who are unable to attend one of the programs listed above will be required to attend the final Fall Orientation program. The Fall Orientation program is a 3-day orientation program which takes place shortly before classes begin. The Fall Orientation program is a mixed program for transfer students and freshmen. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to attend a Transfer Orientation program as these are specific to the needs of transfer students. In addition, if you are attending one of the Transfer Orientation programs, we offer a corresponding Transfer Parent & Family Orientation program for your adult family members to attend.
