Welcome Incoming Freshmen!

Freshman Orientation is the first step in your transition to the University of Michigan - it helps bridge the gap between high school and college. Please select your term of admission from the list on the left for details about the orientation programs.

If you have been admitted for Spring 2013, Summer 2013, or Fall 2013 information about orientation programs will be updated on this website in early 2013.

Spring Term Orientation is a one-day session that will occur Monday, May 6, 2013.

Summer Term Orientation for freshmen will occur Monday, June 24 - Wednesday, June 26.

Orientation for freshmen enrolling in the Fall term 2013 will begin Sunday, June 2; these sessions are three-days in length and start on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

If you have been admitted for the Fall 2013 term and are unable to attend a summer orientation program, you are required to attend the Final Fall Orientation Program.

For Fall 2013 admits:

If you have paid your enrollment fee, you should receive your invitation to register via your UMICH email account during the first weeks of April. Invitations are then sent on a weekly basis. After April 1, it could take up to one week for enrollment fee payments to be reflected in ONSP's orientation system.

You will not be able to access the online orientation information until your Uniqname (and password) has been created; once created it can take up to 24-hours before your Uniqname is activated.

Once you receive your invitation, follow these steps:

  • Go to http://wolverineaccess.umich.edu
  • Select "Undergraduate Orientation" and log in using your uniqname and password
  • Select "Register for Orientation" in your orientation center to begin the orientation registration process

It is important to carefully read through the orientation information.

If you have questions about orientation, please call ONSP at (734) 764-6413.
