Faculty and Staff Mentor Orientation

These sessions provide F/S Mentors with a comprehensive outline of their roles. In addition to receiving a helpful timeline for the term, they learn more about the program's goals and how your role fits into the big picture, important dates for the fall semester and are informed of announcements or changes to the program for the new semester.

They occur in July and August and accepted faculty and staff receive invitations by email to choose a session.

Much of what is covered in the orientation is supplemented by the Faculty/Staff Mentor manual. All mentors receive this at the July/August Mentor Orientation or at the Mentor Workshop (September 20, 2012), which is an interactive session designed to offer advice and support to peer and faculty/staff mentors.
