Much information about the Welcome program is distributed by one of these e-mail groups, join them to learn more:

The 2009 Program of Events has already gone to press. You can still add your event to the UM*Events website.

You may also browse this year's Anchor Events and events that have been submitted thus far in order to not duplicate events or program at the same time as a popular event.

Student Organization Grant Program

The Office of New Student Programs has limited grant funds availble for Voluntary and Sponsored Student Organizations interested in planning a Welcome to Michigan event. Here are other funding sources you may be able to use:

Performances During Welcome to Michigan

The Office of New Student Programs invites students and student performing arts organizations to showcase their talents at several events during Welcome to Michigan. We are seeking a harpist or other instrumental musician(s) to perform at the Pre-Convocation Dinner (Thursday, September 3), groups to perform before, during, and after New Student Convocation and Arscapade! (Thursday, September 3), and at Meijer Madness (Friday, September 4).

These are opportunities to promote your performing arts organization (you may distribute audition/mass meeting information) and showcase your talents only, no payment is typically made. Please contact us for more information.
