Orientation Registration ProcessOrientation Registration Process for StudentsWelcome to the University of Michigan! You are about to begin the orientation registration process. This website provides you with valuable information, please read each page carefully. You will be asked questions throughout the process to gauge your understanding and you will have the ability to print out key information at the end of the registration process. To begin, you will need your University of Michigan uniqname and password. If you have not yet activated your uniqname (campus computing account), please visit www.itd.umich.edu/uniqname. If you do not remember your password, please go to the password hint page and enter your uniqname. If the password hint doesn't help, you can call the ITCS Accounts Office to have your password reset (call 734 764-8000, Option 1, to request a password reset). The Online Orientation Registration System is available these hours:
Information for ParentsParents of International StudentsWe offer a Parent and Guest Orientation program specifically for parents of international freshman and transfer students on Friday, August 22, 2008. Your student will be presented with information about how to register parents and/or guests during the orientation registration process. You may also contact our office at 734.764.6413 or onsp@umich.edu for further information. Parents may find useful information on the M~Parent website: www.umich.edu/parents. Parents of FreshmenWe expect your daughter or son to register for orientation on their own. He or she will be presented with important information about the orientation program and be asked a series of questions to check her or his understanding before being allowed to register. In addition, your daughter or son will be able to register parents and/or guests for an optional Parent and Guest Orientation at the same time. For more details, and a copy of all of the information that will be presented to your student, click here: additional information for parents of freshmen Parents of Transfer StudentsWe do not recommend that parents attend the Transfer Orientation program as this is an important time for new transfer students to meet other students with similar experiences, and also because there is no specific programming intended for parents. Parents may find useful information on the M~Parent site: www.umich.edu/parents. |
